This is a picture of the peak where the trail ends. The pictures of Vegas below are from the top of this summit. Apparently, it is supposed to look like the head of a turtle.

If you look closely you should be able to see the entire strip from Fremont to the Luxor. Can you spot the Stratosphere?

Redrockcanyon--PINE VALLEY REGION

Pictures of the general area are at the bottom. Some of the close ups look uneventful until you open up the image and look closer. In the Pine Valley Region of Redrock pine trees and cacti live side-by-side in this part of the desert. It is believed that the pines are holdovers from the iceage.
